On May 14th, Don Hills hosted a free night of music and art as the artists behind Green Oil Nation converged on the local bar in Manhattan. Along with other like-minded artists and musicians Green Oil Nation displayed their work while local bands such as A.F. Elephant and Biclops kept the stage going well into the early hours of the morning.
Various mediums were on display including semi-large scale paintings and photography covering a wide range of subject matter ranging from environmental landscapes to conceptual works centered around a variety of ideas promoting a greener attitude towards everyday life.
Along with a fun night full of creativity, Green Oil Nation announced the addition of a fourth artist to their team, photographer Devon Ward. Together, the four New York City area artists, Roman Meisenberg, Amy Saffner, Lauryn Yovino and Devon Ward, will make the first planned stop on their summer road tour at the four-day long Bonnaroo festival located on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, June 11-14. Further information about each individual artist as well as their collective eco-friendly summer project can be found here.
