Local artists everywhere are starting to turn their passion for the arts into a positive step in the right direction during the global fight against planetary warming and environmental changes. Their innovative intuitiveness has opened up to both the art and global world endless possibilities to get the ideas of a greener existence out there.
This summer, a group of three artists from the New York tri-city area will take to the road to create an eco-friendly networking experiment that promotes a more environmentally friendly attitude towards everyday life. Under the name of Green Oil Nation, the artists will travel in a veggie-fueled truck and refurbished camper trailer nationwide reaching out to as many people as possible through the internet and tabling at local events and festivals. In addition to their commitment to promoting a greener lifestyle through their summer-long living situation, the artists will also have their hand in their own charitable endeavors throughout the course of their road trip.
For more information on Green Oil Nation and those involved, please visit greenoilnation.com. A preview of some of the artwork involved will be on show for free at Don Hills located in Manhattan at 511 Greenwich St. at Spring St. on May 14th.
